“Dapper” Taylor McClellan

Kansas City All over

For too long graffiti has had a negative connotation.
— Dapper

Born and raised in Kansas City Taylor McClellan aka "Dapper" is all about showing his hometown pride. You can find many references to the greater Kansas City area throughout his pieces. His life experiences are metaphorically funneled through his spray cans, graffiti markers, and paints. Using any medium from paper, wood, canvas, metal signs, to large wall murals. Any surface is free game when it comes to graffiti writers such as "Dapper". Taylor's sense of community has led him to participate in KC's NoDivide project 2018, SprayMO 2020, and the Graffiti Attic exhibit at Union Station. Taylor McClellan like many artists lives in a playground of color. Every shade and hue has its own significance and importance. His fascination with the world is adapted and transformed into vibrant characters, letters, and images. To him Graffiti is an expression of life, and being a writer/artist is his truest calling.
