 Opportunity Taken & Possibilities Made

I grew up moving around a lot from Seattle, California, Las Vegas, Kansas City. Each city had its own flare and style. The Music, Art, and people all influenced me. Art in all its forms was something that I feel could always travel with me. Staying connected through the art was important as life went on. Eventually I decided to try and make it in the art world. True Nature Crew came from the fact that so many of the artists I knew never even had a show, or worried that people wouldn’t be into their craft. So I set out to share my opportunities. I started out with a small show in the crossroads of Kansas city, at a new music venue I had done a tag for. They asked if I wanted to paint and of course I was all for it; turned out pretty awesome. "Even if it was me tagging graffiti in a nightclub bathroom." That one gig led to my first show and from that moment on I knew great things were going to happen. The next step, a bigger space meant helping more artists. Kelly’s in Westport helped with a local artists show in the winter of 2019. It was a great show, lots of fun, tons of people came to support us and enjoy the many different crafts. I met a lot of new friends who wanted to also show their crafts and it kind of just grew from there. In 2020 with the help of 2016 Main Event Space True Nature Crew would have it's opening show during the pandemic. A collective of local artists who wanted to help their community.
